Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

2DGameChannel (2dgamechannel.com) is operated by Mobilefunk, the Netherlands. We process personal data in line with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Dutch privacy law. Mobilefunk is the data controller.

2. What we collect

• Account data: player name, email address and a hashed password. If you log in with Google or Facebook we receive your name, email address and account ID from that provider.
• Game data: the scores you submit, the game, the time of the run, optional game details (such as the level or marble you used) and the IP address the score was sent from (for anti-cheat).
• Payment data: payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store card details. We store your Stripe customer ID, membership status and payment history.
• Messages: what you send us through the contact form.
• Technical data: IP address, browser type and pages visited, in server logs.

3. Why we use it

• To run your account, save your scores and show leaderboards (contract).
• To process payments for Pro (contract) and keep our accounting in order (legal obligation).
• To prevent cheating, fraud and abuse (legitimate interest).
• To answer your questions and send service emails such as password resets (contract).
• To send news about the channel, only if you agreed to it (consent). You can unsubscribe any time.

4. What others see

Leaderboards are public. They show your player name and score. If your player name is an email address, we only show the part before the @. Your email address is never shown publicly.

5. Who we share data with

We don't sell your data. We only use these processors to run the service:

• Stripe (payments)
• SendGrid (email delivery)
• Google and Facebook (only if you choose to log in with them)
• YouTube (Google): videos use the privacy-enhanced youtube-nocookie.com player and only load after you press play. From then on YouTube's own privacy policy applies.
• Our hosting provider

Some of these are based in the United States. Transfers are covered by Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

6. How long we keep it

• Account and game data: as long as your account exists. Deleting your account removes your scores and personal data.
• Payment records: 7 years, as required by Dutch tax law.
• Server logs: up to 90 days.

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies only: a session cookie that keeps you logged in, a security (CSRF) cookie, and a setting that remembers you've seen the cookie notice. These don't require consent. If we ever add analytics or advertising cookies, we will ask for your permission first.

8. Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, delete, restrict or export your personal data, and you can object to processing. You can delete your account yourself from your account page. For anything else, email info@mobilefunk.nl; we reply within 30 days. You can also file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).

9. Children

You need to be at least 16 years old to create an account, or have permission from a parent or guardian. Anyone can play as a guest without an account. If you believe a child under 16 has created an account without permission, contact us and we'll remove it.

10. Security

Passwords are hashed, all traffic is encrypted with HTTPS, and access to our systems is restricted.

11. Changes

We may update this policy. Important changes will be announced on the site or by email.
